Apple is still the top dog in mobile platforms, but the company reported a 6% drop in activations last quarter down to 64% at the end of Q2. At the same time, Google’s Android platform rose 6% to land at 32%. Windows, on the other hand, remained stagnant at 4%. The slippage for Apple is most apparent in the tablet space where the company’s activations dropped from 84% to 64% over the last year. Google is finding success in high-tech sectors and Windows is making a push for growth in the tablet sector with the release of Windows 10 Mobile.
