Howie Schwartz’s Sustainable Traffic Workshop
I recently attended Howie Schwartz’s Sustainable Traffic Workshop held in his home in Connecticut.
I had many deliberations about attending. Should I take a week off my busy life and away from my family? Will I return the cost of both my travel and the event? Will the event content be new and applicable to my business? Is all this worth leaving my kids for?
And although I had already enrolled and paid for the event, booked my ticket and hotel I was still undecided.
To Attend or Not to Attend?
Well, you may have already read my post about selling hard at Internet Marketing seminars. But Howie’s event was not a selling seminar. I attended some of his private events before and always felt I got more than my money’s worth.
The Sustainable Traffic Workshop event was very small, meaning I would get to talk to both the attendees and the speakers. This is usually not the case in bigger events…
Then I focused on what is important to me. And I realized that by going with a positive attitude I stand to gain in many ways.
Getting Perspective From Internet Marketing Events
See, after each event I attended in my Internet Marketing career, I always returned home with new perspective.
And although people usually invest in skills and how to training, the most valuable asset to any business is perspective. And this is pretty hard to buy. The best way to gain perspective is to align with other professionals in your market. A small event is perfect for this!
Now a week after my return I am thankful that I decided to go.
The Bottom Line – Was the Sustainable Traffic Workshop Worth It?
The event was fantastic. I am already implementing an planning new activities based on many of the inputs and tips discussed at the event.
I got to hang out with Howie Schwartz, Roy Reyer, Martin Maybruck, Jeff Hershey, Chris Lang, Jörg Schmidt, Mitch Carson, Matt Trainer and more very cool people.
So what can I say, before enrolling in an event, look long an hard about what type of event this is and envision what you would like to gain there.
